Image Authorization Form

This form pertains to the use of images and videos of your companion animal by Ethopets in business-related communications, social media posts, advertising and educational materials.

To aim for best practices, this form follows the F.R.I.E.S. model of consent.

Freely given: Unless otherwise specified for special events, this form is optional. Ethopets services are offered regardless of your answer to this.

Reversible: If you would like to revoke consent at any time, for any reason, contact me by email at emily@ethopets.com specifying what image/video you would like removed with a link, and allow me 48 hours to remove the post. I will make a good faith attempt to do so as soon as I reasonably am able to.

Informed: Images and video existing publicly online come with some inherent risks. The images may be stolen by other parties, your companions or residence may be recognized, and users on any platform may respond to the images with critical, inappropriate, or hateful commentary. To address these potential issues, I make an effort to moderate my comments section, and never post about a petsitting job until after the client has returned from their trip. As noted above, you may also request any post containing your companion be removed at any time, for any reason.

Enthusiastic: It would mean a great deal to me to be able to share images and stories of your companion. Every new client teaches me so much and brings me so much joy. It can also help me connect with more clients, which really helps my business. I hope you feel as enthusiastic about this as I do, but if not, I refer you to the section on your consent being freely given and optional.

Specific: The places your companion’s likeness may be posted are Ethopets.com, Instagram.com, Facebook.com, YouTube.com, tumblr.com, TikTok.com, Patreon.com, or via an email newsletter originating from emily@ethopets.com.
